Lynne Young, Managing Director, is a high profile, proactive and dynamic leader with clinical credibility and extensive corporate and change management experience both as a clinician, and at executive Board level. Lynne has highly developed inter-personal skills that ensure effective engagement with clinicians, managers and partner agencies. Her personal leadership style is visionary, facilitative, empowering and team orientated.
With over 30 years’ experience in the NHS, Lynne has held various senior leadership roles, including Executive Nurse Director, and Director of Clinical Operations for Sheffield Primary Care Trust. Lynne founded Lynne Young Associates Ltd in 2007 to focus on delivering specialised change management services to the NHS and social care.
Lynne is particularly skilled in working with multi-agencies and across organisational boundaries to develop and deliver shared visions, goals and programmes. This has often been against a challenging backdrop of local change and turbulence. She has worked successfully with providers and commissioners across complex health and social care communities, including other partners such as the police and local authorities.
Lynne’s proven track record demonstrates her skills in delivering sustainable, effective change which is tailored to meet the needs of health and social care clients. Key programmes led by Lynne include the reconfiguration of acute medical services across two hospital sites in Scarborough and North East Yorkshire; the re-design and re-commissioning of integrated community specialist services for children and young people in Hull; and the development of a secondary care-led hospital in Louth, to become an innovative, local primary care-led hospital.
